Persepolis A Childhood During the revelation The book Persepolis is a historic book about the Islamic revolution in Iran, and I like it because it tells the story from the perspective of a little girl who had been through this herself instead of repeating the story told by the government and newspapers of that time. Marjane Satrapi,the author, who is a Iranian born French, wrote this story about her self, the Persepolis, about all stories during her childhood in Iran. At that time, was the most unstable time Iran ever had. Islamic revelation, the Iran-Iraq war, and the Iran hostage crisis. During that time, the world put their attention on how Iran change at that time, and they were afraid of what will happened tomorrow. "what about the hostage" "How was the war" But no one really care what happen to the common people during that time. The author as a little girl who was the granddaughter of a king. But the old government felled and now the government rules by a cure and arrogant king. The king put everyone who was trying to against him into the prison. But Marjane think the book was right, the king was choose by the god, who will always right, to rule the whole country.Until she know his grandfather has been killed by the king, then she turn to against the king and start to do not believe to the god. She was a girl who will say everything came form her heart. But lucky or unlucky, the king choose to abdicate, then the Islamic government rise, and which they thought was " rather then make people love them,not as good as let them afraid them" Then a whole new government which was 10 time cure then the old one, began.
As a young girl she do not know what happened and what will happen, and how cure the world was. She ever thought cut a human in to piece will look like a broken toy. And she do not know when the people which has been release form the old government will be killed by the new one. She used to think the new government was right, until her uncle Anoosh has been killed, Anoosh was the people who was one of the person she loved most. What left was only the bread swan and what he always say" everything will be alright"
Sadly the things just get worse. more and more rules has been created. Female and the male should not be too close. And the woman should were the wail again. People were truly afraid the government, and at the same time the Iran-Iraq war start. More and more people who was been definition as a dangerous person sent to the battlefield by the government and the only ending given to them was death. More and more poor child get the key of the heaven which means they should die for the country, but the way their die was go to the battlefield unarmed, and killed by the land mine.
Over all this book was a very good book to read, which showed how a little girl watch the cure world, when people blow up others and try to kill others. No one will stay childish.
